The Curriculum Resource Centre is a
modern library with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We offer our users an
exciting range of services and resources. ·to provide a congenial, safe and comfortable learning environment for staff and students ·to provide resources that enrich student learning ·to encourage the school community to read for pleasure and literacy development ·to conduct extensive Information Literacy programs that will build confidence in students in exploring and using the library resources ·to develop research skills in students so that they are able to obtain and handle information better ·to cooperatively work with teachers to plan, implement and evaluate learning programs ·to keep up-to-date with advances in technology and provide an ICT rich environment for staff and students to work in ·provide activities and resources that promote social and recreational development of students To fulfill these aims the CRC offers a wide range of resources and provides excellent services and facilities to its clients. We work cooperatively with class teachers to teach Information skills classes, use the Computer Catalogue and Online Databases. The CRC Hours
Library is open throughout the day
from 8.15am to 4.00 pm each day from Monday to Thursday and until 3.30pm on
Fridays.

Fiction and Non-fiction Collection Quick Picks and Online Reading Programs
Reading programs are conducted cooperatively with the classroom teachers.
CRC Lunchtime Activities The CRC also conducts Lunchtime Activities such as BookClub; Literacy and Numeracy related Board Games and Recreational Reading for the social development of students. Popular news and recreational magazines such as Choice, Time, BRW, Dolly, MAD, Hyper and other magazines are available for student and staff reading and borrowing.
CRC and ICT Development
Online encyclopedias such as the World Book Reference Centre and Britannica Newspaper indexes and databanks: Issue Outlines (Echo) and Newsbank Online Reading program to support development of literacy skills in students
