  International Student Program
For the past ten years Hampton Park Secondary College has been accredited as a school which meets the criteria for hosting full fee paying overseas students. These are students who have applied for a visa which allows them to study in Victoria under certain conditions, one of which is that they are required to pay more for their schooling than Australian born young people. In 2007 we have students who are completing Year 12 for the first time in this program. Currently we have full fee paying students from Timor Leste, Mauritius, Vietnam and Thailand. They are enrolled in Years, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. Our full fee paying students have entered fully into the life of the school, participating in sport, academic competitions and have taken up leadership roles within the college. They have also done well academically at their respective year levels.

Full fee paying students are able to access our English as a Second language (ESL) program. This means that they are in a smaller group for instruction in English. Typically students who have little English before they arrive here will spend time at an English language centre prior to attending our school. Children have a wide range of choice in the subjects they attempt here. It is mandatory that students achieve well and attend very regularly in all subjects to satisfy their visa requirements.

Students are assisted to settle into the school quickly and as this is a very multi-cultural school, it is not difficult to find students from the same ethnic background to provide support for our new enrolees.

All our current full fee paying overseas students are housed with relatives. It is possible for the school to provide home stay but this has not been necessary so far.

Please note that overseas students are not able to enrol directly into our school but must access our programs through the International Student Unit. The contact details for this are as follows:
